Bob lee, the former chief technology executive of square who is also the founder of cash app. And currently he was working as chief product officer of mobile coin. Unfortunately, he has died after getting fatally stabbed in San Francisco early Tuesday.
This information is given by the police and cryptocurrency platform. The police said in a press release that one of their officers reported the incident of stabbing on main street of San Francisco at 2:35 am, Tuesday. Where they found a 43 year old man suffering from fatal stab wounds . Finally they took the victim to the hospital, where he took his last breath.
Bob lee’s death was confirmed by the CEO of MobileCoin, where he is currently employed.Josh Goldbard (CEO of MobileCoin) said this message to everyone in his statement given to CNN on Wednesday morning ” Our dear friend and colleague, Bob Lee passed away yesterday at the age of 43, survived by loving family and collection of close friends and Collaborators. Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature. Bob was the genuine article. He was made for the world that is being born right now, he was a child of dreams, and whatever he imagined, no matter how crazy, he made real.”
He continued : “We will miss you Bob. We love you.”
Bob Lee has contributed alot to Android at Google, then he became the first CTO of Square , during this time he also created Cash App, and before leaving all of us alone he is currently working in MobileCoin where he joined it as a early stage investor and advisor. Then he became the chief product officer and also helped in launching “Moby App”.
Bob Lee’s father, Rick Lee also confirmed this news in his statement given on Facebook. Wgere he wrote, ” I just lost my best friend. Bob would give you the shirt off his back. He would never look down on anyone and adhered to a strict no-judgment philosophy.”
He also said that his son “will be missed by all those that knew him” and atlast he thanked those who have reached out and offered support to him.

San Francisco’s Mayor London Breed also reacted to this news and in the statement mayor said Lee’s death “a horrible tragedy.” Breed said that police are doing their best and as soon they complete their investigation of Lee’s death , they definitely share further more details to us.
